This past weekend Thao and Josh tied the knot in a fabulous wedding in Seattle that was a wedding videographers dream come true….model-beautiful couple, gorgeous wedding party, amazing locations, pristine blue sky, pretty flowers, awesome wedding planner and a classy yet out-of-this-world fun day!! We had such a great time filming this wedding!
After Thao and the bridesmaids got ready at the Hotel Deca in the U District, we headed over to the Suzzallo Library at the University of Washington where Josh got to see his bride for the first time that day. Their quiet, emotional moment quickly turned to laughter as the boisterous groomsmen began to work their charm. I knew at that moment that this was going to be a FUN day!
The ceremony was held at Blessed Sacrament with a full Catholic Mass. I love the shot of Thao walking down the aisle with the outside light streaming in around her and her father (nice shot, Chris!). The reception followed shortly at the Bell Harbor Conference Center where I started working right away on their Same Day Edit. This was our first Same Day Edit shooting video on the Canon 5D Mark II and the footage was just unbelievably stunning. The depth of field, clarity, color rendition, low-light capability and how flattering the camera is to people makes me want to switch all our cameras to the 5DMK2.
It was also great to work with Ellen Peterson again from Serenity Weddings. We worked with her several years ago on some great weddings, including a vow renewal/surprise wedding for Jon & Jen Kitna. She had taken a break for a few years to have some cute kiddos, but now she is back in full force and hasn’t missed a beat! She is such a sweet lady who really knows her stuff and never seems to run out of energy! Oh, and it was her birthday too! Talk about dedication to her brides!

That’s one nice-looking SDE. I also LOVE the 5D MkII and wish we could do everything on it–just need to invest in some major stabilization systems

We absolutely LOVE this video!!! We enjoyed watching this during the reception, the picture is amazing and you really captured all the fun we had! Our guests loved it as well. We are so happy that we had you do our video, thank you soooo much, you guys are amazing!!!

I can’t wait to work with you again. You really have out done yourself. No surprises that you have once again captured truly amazing moments for this bride and groom. I have watched this clip a million times too, and I am the event planner. LOL!
