The Sweetest Same Day Edit
August 17th, 2008 by edit1media
Several months ago Lisa Chambers from Chambers & Co. referred Shannon and Casey to us for their wedding video. Little did any of us know at the time what an incredible journey this would become!
After booking our services via telephone, Shannon and her mom, Christy were finally able to meet us several months ago. I really enjoyed meeting them and knew they were planning an incredible, lush wedding. Then two months before the wedding Shannon found out she was pregnant with twins and her due date was within days of the wedding. But her parents are amazing saints and said that it was meant to be and they would roll with the punches. The wedding plans stayed in place and we all hoped the babies would arrive after the wedding date.
But fate had other plans.
This past Thursday Bailee and Brooke were born via c-section and the insanity began. For about 36 hours no one was sure if we would have a wedding at the Fairmont Olympic hotel as orginially planned or if it would be moved to a hospital room. So we grabbed our cameras and spent the next two days at the hospital capturing footage and some family interviews. I can honestly say they must be two of the cutest, sweetest babies I’ve ever seen (besides my own boys, of course!) and I really was honored to be capturing some of the first images of the girls.
By Friday Shannon felt she would be able to walk down the aisle so the original plans were put in to motion. It’s a good thing because I don’t know how Rented Elegance would have fit all those flowers in a hospital room! LOL!! Anyway, we were able to put together what I think is the most ambitious, emotional and beautiful video to date. I’m sure I will never have the opportunity to create something quite like this again. Special props to Bradley Hanson for supplying me with the engagement photos that helped to open the video…he was a blast to work with today. ALL the vendors were amazing in their flexibility and professionalism. Lisa really put together an A-Team for Shannon & Casey!

That was such a beautiful and unique wedding! I thought it was really cool how they had the babies in the arms of the bridesmaids during the wedding… Awesome!

Casey and Shannon,
Congratulations on two beautiful babies! Shannon, you are an amazingly strong woman to recover from surgery, walk to the alter, look beautiful and vow, not only to share the rest of your life with Casey, but to have your children in attendance to witness the same.
Chris and Laura…Wow! Does it get any better than this? The edit is awesome but when do you think you will ever get a chance to be a part of something as amazing as this again?
Congrats guys!!

I just can’t stop watching this video, which is somewhat interesting as I have no connection to the beautiful couple. I just happen to love Edit 1 Media’s work so I am somewhat of a blog stalker. Now I find I am living in constant jealousy of this couple’s gorgeous babies, wedding, love story, and fantastic video covering it all! Absolutely gorgeous. Truly beautiful.
