As mentioned earlier, Sage Wedding Pros are the people behind this event. Here is some more info about Michelle and Kelly:
Michelle Loretta is the number one authority when it comes to making good business decisions. She started out as a big-time accountant for a big-time firm. She has an amazingly creative personality that she couldn’t keep quiet for much longer, so she left her big-time job to be a corporate showroom sales manager for a small importer and distributor of fashion apparel. It was creatively fulfilling, but intellectually and analytically not so stimulating. She stopped for a minute to think about what she truly loved. She loved PAPER! In 2004, she founded mmm…paper, a fabulous stationary company specializing in wedding invitations, birth announcements, and regular ol’ stationary. Michelle is incredibly creative, extremely smart and an all around great person. It’s definitely worth it to hear what she has to say!
Kelly Simants has always wanted to be a wedding planner and business owner. After taking some entrepreneur classes in college, she wrote a business plan and started working as the wedding coordinator at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle. She was coordinating about 3 weddings per weekend and soon realized it was time to start her own business. For the next couple of years, Kelly planned weddings on the side while still pursuing her career in Human Resources. The opportunity finally came to plan weddings full-time and Sweet Pea Events was born. Her event expertise, passion for people and creativity are what make her stand out from other coordinators.
Both Michelle and Kelly are co-creators of the wonderful event Get Hitched Give Hope, where wedding professionals and brides and grooms come together to raise money for Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. Please click on the links to learn more about this fun and fabulous event.
